Well, I don't THINK I said anything political. I guess Rob did sorta. but it's true. These people are creating a crisis out of nothing. If this had occured during typical flu time, it probably wouldn't even have been noticed.

As far as I know (I'm also a teacher), in Wisconsin they're NOT extending the school year for any schools that close for flu reasons. So you folks worried about an extended school year may have reason for hope--you could end up with MORE, not less, time for cruising. Texas 400, anyone?

Wow,

I am sorry I brought it up. I have learned more. My school year will not be extended, Yeah!. However, I do have to work on Memorial Day, Boo. I had plans for that three day weekend. See you guys at Port Mansfield Saturday afternoon/evening.

Well the CDC released some new info yesterday. It suggest schools not close EVEN if you have a small population of infected students. If you have a severe outbreak then it suggest closing schools. CCISD with 38,000 students closed Monday only to reopen tomorrow. Our district was thinking about it, but has not closed. We were informed yesterday in a staff meeting that the school would remain open unless something drastic happens.
