So yesterday, in preperation for the upcoming Texas 200...Ken purdy, Of Freeport, myself, and my son Matthew, met for what I dubbed the Texas 2.00 The morning started confused...we were both at the correct body of water....the Freeport Municipal Park (old Brazos River) . But we were on opposite ends of it. Once we met up we tooled around a while, talked about boats, and just worked the varriable winds.
then Ken took me out in his Tri-Lar. SHEESH that thing is fast. When the gaust met the sail we were almost slung forward. Would LOVE to see one in open air. I've been eyeing my Kayak all day...
So here are some shots of the first ever Texas 2.00

Thanks for the report, Gordo. I sailed a Trilars once - they are indeed fast but wet also. It will be interesting to see what Ken has to say about that after a few days in it.

It was great to meet Ken and his wife....we had fun for sure. Looking forward to seeing many more cool people and boats in June. But in the mean time if anyone wants to get together...from Galveston to Matagorda...let me know. _________________ LagunaUno: The Lazy Dolphin

Wet indeed Chuck. He is planning out a spray skirt...but I'll let him comment more. _________________ LagunaUno: The Lazy Dolphin
